Title Sequence

Iconic Title Design for a Beloved Film

GenPop’s Ben Conrad was creative lead for the iconic title sequence and in-movie sequences for the box office hit film, “Zombieland,” directed by Ruben Fleischer. By conceptualizing the marriage between type and imagery, Conrad was able to deftly weave the bombastic title sequence seamlessly into the fabric of the film.

The title sequence established a clear and defining visual aesthetic for the film, and is widely considered to be one of the most creative and entertaining approaches to introducing a film’s narrative to an audience. In addition to the titles, the essential and hilariously informative “Rules to Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse” sequences were also crafted by Conrad. The sequence won Best Title Sequence at SXSW, and a silver ADC award.
